
Andrea is a recent Magna Cum Laude graduate from Oakland University. There she obtained departmental honors and a Bachelor’s in Performing Arts in Dance. She was awarded the Jacob Decker Outstanding Performer Matilda Award and several other merit scholarships for her academics and acceleration in the department. During her senior year she became an apprentice with the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble’s touring company for the 2005-2006 season.
In April of 2006, she performed in Manhattan and Albany, NY in the children’s production “The Toy Castle,” of which she played the part of the Rag Doll. The majority of Andrea’s training came from Metropolitan Ballet Center under the direction of Renee Wood. In her adolescence, she was awarded scholarships to summer intensives such as Ballet Met, Milwaukee Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Joffrey of Flint. Andrea has been selected as an extra for ABT, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Twyla Tharp's regional performances. Andrea has also taught autistic children through Jack's Place for Autism at Oakland University.
