Growing up at Dancer’s Edge Studio from 6 years old through graduating high school at 18 was one of the most important parts of my life. DES gave me so much more than dance. It gave me confidence, discipline, resilience, lifelong friendships, and mentors who truly helped shape me into the person I am today.

 

I was lucky enough to be part of some of the highest level All Star programs, competing across the country through USASF and UDA, and becoming a 10x World Champion along the way, but what stands out most to me are the moments shared with the people there.

 

Some of my favorite memories are after performances when Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Alisa would cry happy tears watching us perform. Seeing the people you have looked up to your whole life feel proud of you and your team after months of hard work is a feeling I will never forget. DES taught me the importance of having a strong mind and believing in yourself even during moments of fear or insecurity.

 

Looking back now, I realize how much those lessons prepared me for life outside of dance. Every single person at DES impacted me in some way, and I truly would not be who I am today without the love, guidance, and support they gave me throughout all those years. My family and I are so grateful.
